CRT News [ 2007 1st Quarter | Current | Index ]
Note: Effective July 1st the version of the CRT page that had been used to report impact risk monitoring news since late 2004 was stopped. Its daily reporting and associated archiving functions had been duplicated since May 14th and are now completely replaced by the new daily Major News About Minor Objects publication. A new version of the CRT now shows the compiled net results of impact risk monitoring for the last 30 days.

1440 UTC 22 April
1438 UTC 21 April
2139 UTC 20 April
- Note: The URL that A/CC has long used for accessing the NEO Confirmation Page (including a recent change in server names) became a "404 Not Found" yesterday, apparently after the Minor Planet Center made a reported "transfer of the MPC/CBAT/ICQ webpages to a new location." If you have had the same problem, switch to this NEOCP address.

- 2006 QY110 MPEC 2007-H22 reports observation of 2006 QY110 by the Spacewatch 1.8m telescope (April 11.38-41, 15.30-31, 16.40-41 & 18.28-29) and the Mt. Lemmon Survey (MLS) (April 19.32-34). Note: This MPEC states that previously reported precovery observations "are being removed from the MPC files" due to concerns over how well that data fit into the new orbit calculation. (This was the data used to remove this kilometer-size object's one remaining very low-rated impact solution last September.) Archive sleuths are advised "that it is unproductive and unhelpful to potential follow-up observers when searches for very marginal precovery images of a short-arc object are made in conjunction with unrealistically precise orbital computations."
