When last checked at 2358 UTC today, the Minor Planet Center's Near Earth Object discovery Confirmation Page (NEOCP) had 24 objects listed. Of these, thirteen were "one nighters." So far The Tracking News has counted a total of 29 listings on the NEOCP today.

This detection was confirmed by Mt. John Obs. (Nov. 8.49-50p4), program code 1 via Schwarzschild Obs. (Nov. 8.84-85p4), and Visnjan Obs. (Nov. 8.85-86p4).
MPEC 2020-V48 - "21:00 UT" - 2020 VC1
- K20V01C 2020 VC1 (small asteroid, Earth MOID=2.6 LD, H=25.53 ~27m) was picked up at 0553 UT on 8 Nov. by PS1, observing it at Sept. 16.31-34p3 at G=23.35-65, Oct. 14.37-39p3 at G=22.01-43, 18.28-30p2 at G=20.86-21.12, and Nov. 8.25-27p3 at w=19.31-49. This detection was confirmed by Mt. John Obs. (Nov. 8.43p4), Arcadia Obs. (Nov. 8.46-47p3), program code 1 via KLENOT (Nov. 8.73p7), Visnjan Obs. (Nov. 8.77-78p4), St. Pardon de Conques Obs. (Nov. 8.78-79p3), and Schiaparelli Obs. (Nov. 8.79-81p3).

An impact solution, also known as a "virtual impactor" (VI), is not a prediction but rather a possibility derived from a variant orbit calculation that cannot be eliminated yet based on the existing data. Elimination can come quickly with just a little further observation or may take weeks or months, sometimes years.
