MPEC 2020-G23 - "03:58 UT" - 2020 GN
- K20G00N 2020 GN (Earth MOID=4.5 LD, H=27.5 ~11m, NHATS target) was picked up at 0916 UT on 2 April by MLS, observing it at April 2.39-40p3 and 3.43p4. This detection was confirmed by PS2 (March 29.42-44p3), Steward Mt. Lemmon Sta. (April 2.47-48p3), St. Pardon de Conques Obs. (April 4.01-05p3), and Visnjan Obs. (April 4.09p3).

An impact solution, also known as a "virtual impactor" (VI), is not a prediction but rather a possibility derived from a variant orbit calculation that cannot be eliminated yet based on the existing data. Elimination can come quickly with just a little further observation or may take weeks or months, sometimes years.
