The latest A/CC news is available via framed access, RSS news feed RSS news feed, or redirection. - Note: A/CC has a main Web site and also a backup site with its own duplicate RSS news feed.

Navigation tips: Use the << and >> arrows on the menus for each regular section (Observers, Risks, etc.) to move to the previous and next day's news for that section. Use the Index menu item to access specific days through a calendar interface. And use the all-up news archive to access news from any time since A/CC began in early 2002. Traffic Report  on 11 October '13

Four objects reported inside ten LD

Four objects are reported to be passing within a radius of ten lunar distances (LD) from our home world today. Risk-listed 2013 TX68 is inbound from 9.16 to 6.86 LD while the others are all headed away from us. Risk-listed intruder 2013 RZ53 is outbound from 7.45 to 7.77 LD and 2013 TO4 from 7.66 to 9.05 LD, and radar target 2013 SU24 departs from inside ten LD, traveling from 9.05 to 10.17 LD.

Radar target 2001 AV43 arrives inside ten LD on November 6th.

This report was generated at 1529 UTC with follow-up in today's DOU MPEC for departed objects 2013 TM69 (first follow-up) and 2013 TG6.

Notes: Ten times the distance to the Moon (ten LD) has no astronomical significance but is a useful reporting boundary. Object distances are interpreted by A/CC from JPL Horizons data. See also current sky chart and object details (alt-details), ephemerides, and today's timeline.
