One object reported inside ten LD

One object is reported to be within a radius of ten lunar distances (LD) from our home world today. Radar target 277475 2005 WK4 enters ten LD, passing from 10.06 to 9.06 LD.

This report was generated at 1323 UTC with follow-up in today's DOU MPEC for 277475 2005 WK4. We also note yesterday's MPEC reporting the recovery of distant 2012 QG42.

NEOCP Activity  on 6 August '13

The MPC's NEO Confirmation Page has 21 listings

When last checked at 2319 UTC today, the Minor Planet Center's Near Earth Object discovery Confirmation Page (NEOCP) had 21 objects listed. Of these, five were "one nighters." So far The Tracking News has counted a total of 26 listings on the NEOCP today.
