Five objects reported inside ten LD

There are five asteroids known to be flying within ten lunar distances (LD) of our planet today. Inside Earth's Hill sphere, newly announced 2013 ED68 is inbound from 3.42 to 2.16 LD, radar target intruder 2013 EC20 is outbound from 3.25 to 3.88 LD, and 2013 EA29 comes its closest to Earth on this passage, reaching 3.54 LD at 1638 UT.

Further out, 2013 EN20 is outbound from 5.6 to 7.2 LD* and 2013 ES41 from 6.47 to 6.80 LD.

Coming our way next, risk-listed radar target 2010 EO88 arrives inside ten LD on March 15th and 2013 ES11 arrives on the 19th.

This report was generated at 1840 UTC with new discoveries 2013 ED68 (MPEC) and already departed 2013 EF68 (MPEC) and 2013 EE68 (MPEC). Today's DOU MPEC has follow-up for 2013 EA29 and 2013 ES11, plus observation of distant 68216 2001 CV26.

The MPC's NEO Confirmation Page has 16 listings

When last checked at 2359 UTC today, the Minor Planet Center's Near Earth Object discovery Confirmation Page (NEOCP) had sixteen objects listed. Of these, seven were "one nighters." So far The Tracking News has counted a total of 24 listings on the NEOCP today.
