- K10Q01N 2010 QN1 (H=20.2 ~309m) was discovered at 1751 UT on 20 Aug. by the Siding Spring Survey (SSS), which observed it at Aug. 20.74-77p3, 21.67-68p4, 21.75p1, and 21.80p1. The discovery was confirmed by Astronomical Research Obs. Westfield (Aug. 22.38-40p3).

An impact solution, also known as a "virtual impactor" (VI), is not a prediction but rather a possibility derived from a variant orbit calculation that cannot be eliminated yet based on the existing data. Elimination can come quickly with just a little further observation or may take weeks or months, sometimes years. Once superceded or eliminated, a former impact solution has zero relevance to an object's risk. See Jon Giorgini's "Understanding Risk Pages" to learn more.
