When last checked at 2358 UTC today, the Minor Planet Center's Near Earth Object discovery Confirmation Page (NEOCP) had three new and four updated listings. Of these, one was a "one nighter." So far The Tracking News has counted a total of nine listings on the NEOCP at some point today.

- K10K39V 2010 KV39 (small asteroid, Earth MOID=0.3 LD, H=26.7 ~15m) was discovered at 0854 UT on 24 May by the Catalina Sky Survey (CSS), which observed it at May 24.37-45p10. The discovery was confirmed by Schiaparelli Obs. (May 24.87-88p2), Great Shefford Obs. (May 24.90-93p4), and Wildberg Obs. (May 24.91-94p4). This object is now within ten lunar distances (LD) of Earth, reaching 0.6 LD on 26 May (INTRUDER).

An impact solution, also known as a "virtual impactor" (VI), is not a prediction but rather a possibility derived from a variant orbit calculation that cannot be eliminated yet based on the existing data. Elimination can come quickly with just a little further observation or may take weeks or months, sometimes years.
