The MPC's NEO Confirmation Page has 3 listings: 2 new, 1 updated

When last checked at 2358 UTC today, the Minor Planet Center's Near Earth Object discovery Confirmation Page (NEOCP) had two new and one updated listings. Of these, one was a "one nighter." So far The Tracking News has counted a total of six listings on the NEOCP at some point today.

MPEC 2010-B17 - "15:34 UT" - 2010 BL2

K10B02L 2010 BL2 (risk-listed, i=61.7°, Q=5.298 AU, H=16.0 ~2.14 km, q=0.526 AU) was discovered at 1127 UT on 19 Jan. by the Siding Spring Survey (SSS), which observed it at Jan. 19.48-57p7, 20.44p1, and 20.56p1. The discovery was confirmed by Tanti Obs. (Jan. 20.06-07p4) and Grove Creek Obs. (Jan. 20.47-50p4).

MPEC 2010-B16 - "15:31 UT" - 2010 BK2

K10B02K 2010 BK2 (borderline-small, H=22.0 ~135m) was discovered at 1124 UT on 19 Jan. by SSS, which observed it at Jan. 19.48-50p4, 19.54-58p5, 20.44p3, and 20.57p3. The discovery was confirmed by Tanti Obs. (Jan. 20.08-09p3).

An impact solution, also known as a "virtual impactor" (VI), is not a prediction but rather a possibility derived from a variant orbit calculation that cannot be eliminated yet based on the existing data. Elimination can come quickly with just a little further observation or may take weeks or months, sometimes years.
