(Nov. 23.39-40p3). This object is now within ten lunar distances (LD) of Earth, reaching 3.5 LD on 18 Nov.

The discovery was confirmed by Magdalena Ridge Obs. (MRO) (Nov. 23.25-27p4) and Tenagra II Obs. (Nov. 23.38p3). This object will be coming within ten lunar distances (LD) of Earth, reaching 3.3 LD on 27 Nov.

This object will be coming within ten lunar distances (LD) of Earth, reaching 8.2 LD on 5 Dec.

- K09W51Z 2009 WZ51 (small asteroid, H=25.4 ~28m) was discovered at 0649 UT on 22 Nov. by MLS, which observed it at Nov. 22.28-30p4 and 22.46p4. The discovery was confirmed by MRO (Nov. 23.11-12p4), Tenagra II Obs. (Nov. 23.13p3), ARO Westfield (Nov. 23.21-22p3), Sandlot Obs. (Nov. 23.22-23p4), and Sabino Canyon Obs. (Nov. 23.25-26p3).

- K09W51Y 2009 WY51 (borderline-small, Q=4.140 AU, H=21.8 ~148m) was discovered at 0648 UT on 22 Nov. by the Spacewatch 0.9m telescope, which observed it at Nov. 22.28-32p3. The discovery was confirmed by Spacewatch 1.8m (Nov. 23.23-25p3), MRO (Nov. 23.29-31p4), and Sandlot Obs. (Nov. 23.35-36p4).

An impact solution, also known as a "virtual impactor" (VI), is not a prediction but rather a possibility derived from a variant orbit calculation that cannot be eliminated yet based on the existing data. Elimination can come quickly with just a little further observation or may take weeks or months, sometimes years.
