NEOCP Activity on 27 July '09
The MPC's NEO Confirmation Page has 4 listings: 1 new, 3 updated
When last checked at 2358 UTC today, the Minor Planet Center's Near Earth Object discovery Confirmation Page (NEOCP) had one new and three updated listings. All of these were "one nighters." So far The Tracking News has counted a total of five listings on the NEOCP at some point today.

- K09O05X 2009 OX5 was discovered at 0502 UT on 27 July by the Catalina Sky Survey (CSS), which observed it at July 27.21-28p9 and 27.32p2. The discovery was confirmed by Sabino Canyon Obs. (July 27.29-30p4), Alter Satzberg Obs. (July 27.84-86p6), Zvezdno Obshtestvo Obs. (July 27.85p4), Farra d'Isonzo Obs. (July 27.85-86p3), Balzaretto Obs. (July 27.86-87p4), and Great Shefford Obs. (July 27.88p3).

MPEC 2009-O38 - "12:25 UT" - 2009 OS5
- K09O05S 2009 OS5 was discovered at 2222 UT on 21 July by Engelhardt Obs. Zelenchukskaya Station, which observed it at July 21.93-95p4, 23.98-01p5, 24.98-99p4, 25.95-96p4, and 26.99-01p6.
