When last checked at 2035 UTC today, the Minor Planet Center's NEO discovery Confirmation Page (NEOCP) had three new and six updated listings. All of these were "one nighters." So far The Tracking News has counted a total of 24 objects listed on the NEOCP at some point today.

- K08R24Y 2008 RY24 (H=17.8 ~933m) was discovered at 0614 UT on 7 Sept. by CSS, which observed it at Sept. 7.26-27p3 and 7.32-34p4. The discovery was confirmed by Montcabre Obs. (Sept. 7.82-84p3), Dark Roseanne Obs. (Sept. 8.05-06p2), CEAMIG-REA (Sept. 8.05-08p3), ARO (Sept. 8.08-09p4), McDonald Obs. (Sept. 8.15-16p3), Sandlot Obs. (Sept. 8.21p2), and Jim Young via Table Mtn. Obs. (Sept. 8.37-38p4).
MPEC 2008-R41 - "14:18 UT" - 2008 RX24
- K08R24X 2008 RX24 (H=21.1 ~204m) was discovered at 0857 UT on 6 Sept. by CSS, which observed it at Sept. 6.32-33p3 and 6.37-40p4. The discovery was confirmed by Terskol Obs. (Sept. 6.95-96p3), Kanab Obs. (Sept. 7.29p1 & 7.35p1), MLS (Sept. 7.32-33p4), and the Spacewatch 0.9m telescope (Sept. 8.20-24p3).
MPEC 2008-R40 - "14:07 UT" - 2008 RW24
- K08R24W 2008 RW24 (small asteroid, Earth MOID=3.4 LD, H=22.7 ~98m) was discovered at 0812 UT on 6 Sept. by CSS, which observed it at Sept. 6.34-42p7. The discovery was confirmed by MLS (Sept. 7.26-28p4) and ARO (Sept. 8.14-16p4). This object will be coming within ten lunar distances (LD) of Earth, reaching 5.3 LD on 23 Sept.
MPEC 2008-R39 - "14:00 UT" - 2008 RT24
- K08R24T 2008 RT24 (small asteroid, H=24.4 ~45m) was discovered at 0604 UT on 6 Sept. by CSS, which observed it at Sept. 6.25-27p4 and 6.34-36p4. The discovery was confirmed by Sabino Canyon Obs. (Sept. 6.33-34p3), Magdalena Ridge Obs. (MRO) (Sept. 6.35-36p4), Young/Table Mtn. (Sept. 6.38-40p4), MLS (Sept. 7.20-22p4), and ARO (Sept. 8.11-13p3).
MPEC 2008-R38 - "13:56 UT" - 2008 RS24
- K08R24S 2008 RS24 (small asteroid, H=22.6 ~102m) was discovered at 0555 UT on 6 Sept. by MLS, which observed it at Sept. 6.22-26p8, 6.32-33p4, and 7.16-18p4. The discovery was confirmed by MRO (Sept. 6.33-34p3) and ARO (Sept. 8.13-14p3).

- K08R24R 2008 RR24 (H=21.2 ~195m) was discovered at 0513 UT on 6 Sept. by CSS, which observed it at Sept. 6.22-30p8. The discovery was confirmed by MRO (Sept. 6.27-29p6), Sabino Canyon Obs.
