NEOCP Activity on 3 September '08
The MPC's NEO Confirmation Page has 2 listings: 2 updated
When last checked at 2336 UTC today, the Minor Planet Center's NEO discovery Confirmation Page (NEOCP) had two updated listings. Both of these were "one nighters." So far The Tracking News has counted a total of seven objects listed on the NEOCP at some point today.

- K08R00W 2008 RW (small asteroid, H=22.7 ~98m) was discovered at 1310 UT on 2 Sept. by the Siding Spring Survey (SSS), which observed it at Sept. 2.55-61p6, 2.66-67p4, 2.71-72p4, and 2.77-78p10. The discovery was confirmed by CEAMIG-REA (Sept. 3.25p3) and Jim Young via Table Mtn. Obs. (Sept. 3.35-37p4).
MPEC 2008-R18 - "23:17 UT" - 2008 RV
- K08R00V 2008 RV (Earth MOID=2.3 LD, H=21.7 ~155m) was discovered at 1056 UT on 2 Sept. by SSS, which observed it at Sept. 2.46-48p3, 2.53-54p5, 2.59-60p3, 2.66p2, and 2.71-72p4. The discovery was confirmed by Grove Creek Obs. (Sept. 2.55-58p4) and CEAMIG-REA (Sept. 3.22-23p3).
MPEC 2008-R17 - "23:09 UT" - 2008 RU
- K08R00U 2008 RU (small asteroid, H=22.3 ~117m) was discovered at 0955 UT on 2 Sept. by SSS, which observed it at Sept. 2.41-43p3, 2.49p5, 2.53-54p4, 2.59-61p2, 2.66-67p3, and 2.71-72p4. The discovery was confirmed by Grove Creek Obs. (Sept. 2.62-65p5) and CEAMIG-REA (Sept. 3.23-24p3).
MPEC 2008-R16 - "23:05 UT" - 2008 RT
- K08R00T 2008 RT (H=19.5 ~426m) was discovered at 1823 UT on 1 Sept. by SSS, which observed it at Sept. 1.77-81p7 and 2.71-72p3. The discovery was confirmed by KLENOT (Sept. 2.08-10p5), Sandlot Obs. (Sept. 2.37-38p3), and Young/Table Mtn. (Sept. 2.47-52p5 & 3.46-48p4).
