When last checked at 2357 UTC today, the Minor Planet Center's NEO discovery Confirmation Page (NEOCP) had three updated listings. So far The Tracking News has counted a total of four objects listed on the NEOCP at some point today.

New MPECs on 3 July '08

As of last check at 2357 UTC, there have been two MPECs issued today from the International Astronomical Union's Minor Planet Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

- K08N00U 2008 NU (Q=4.537 AU, H=17.4 ~1.12 km) was discovered at 0951 UT on 1 July by the Catalina Sky Survey (CSS), which observed it at July 1.41-45p8 and 3.46p4. The discovery was confirmed by Jim Young via Table Mtn. Obs. (July 1.45-47p4), Cordell-Lorenz Obs. (July 2.31-33p4), Astronomical Research Obs. (ARO) (July 2.33-34p3), the Mt. Lemmon Survey (MLS) (July 2.40-41p3), and Dave Balam via Plaskett 1.8m Telescope (July 2.43p3).
