The NASA/JPL NEO Program Office reported yesterday that with further analysis, including new observation from Calar Alto Observatory (see yesterday's DOU MPEC), Mars impact probability has decreased to "1-in-40 odds" for 2007 WD5 three weeks from now. The discovery was confirmed by Farra d'Isonzo Obs. (Jan. 8.82-83p3), CAST Obs. (Jan. 8.86-87p2), Gnosca Obs. (Jan. 8.87-88p2), Alter Satzberg Obs. (Jan. 8.91-94p3), and Farpoint Obs. (Jan. 9.25p4).
