The Asteroid/Comet Connection's Today's issue status: done
“suggests that the comet could brighten to naked-eye visibility in early January.” The discovery was reported Friday and the first MPEC was issued Saturday. MPEC 2004-Q69 Monday now puts perihelion at 1.203 AU on January 24th, and the MPC Ephemeris Service (MPES) presently shows closest approach to Earth at 0.345 AU during 5-7 January |
